ABOUT TWISTED DON®
WHO IS TWISTED DON®?
That's me - Lynden, the founder of Twisted Don®.
Built from darkness and pain, grown in the shadows, with a love for horror, the macabre and a dark and twisted sense of humour.
But Twisted Don® was never originally meant to become a clothing brand.
HOW IT ALL STARTED.
It started with a simple idea. I wanted to design my own macabre style clothing to wear personally in the gym.
I created a couple of designs and showed them to some of my closest friends to which their reaction surprised me.
They didn't just like them, they told me they would actually pay money for the designs on T-shirts and encouraged me to start making them.
I was very sceptical and it took me 2 years to finally take the plunge and give it a go.
And I'm glad I did.
People loved what I'd created, and what started as a few designs for myself quickly grew into something much bigger.
Twisted Don® was born.
WHY TWISTED DON®?
The name is pretty simple really.
Twisted represents me - my love for horror, everything dark and macabre and my twisted sense of humour.
And Don comes from the end of my first name, Lynden.
When spoken aloud, the ending sounds like 'Don', and it became a nickname I was given growing up.
A nickname that stuck.
So Twisted Don® is quite literally a part of me.
THE STORY BEHIND 'HATING HUMANS'.
There's a deeper reason behind HATING HUMANS.
This isn't something I simply created for an aesthetic. Its something that has been part of me for a long time.
When I was 12 years old I lost my mum, she was just 31.
Around the same time I had just started secondary school and was dealing with being bullied every day throughout my first year.
I became isolated within my own mind. Distant, angry and unsure how to process what I was feeling, and at that age I didn't really know how to process any of it.
I hated life, and for a long time I hated people too.
Looking back now I understand that those experiences shaped a part of who I became, and over time that darkness found a different outlet.
It became creativity and the anger became motivation, and the things that made me feel like an outsider became part of what makes Twisted Don®.
That's where HATING HUMANS comes from.
It was never simply created because it sounded edgy or fitted the dark aesthetic.
It came from a genuine place.
Feeling like you don't belong.
Feeling different.
Feeling isolated.
HATING HUMANS isn't about literally hating every human being.
It represents that feeling of being an outsider and eventually learning to embrace it.
So when you see HATING HUMANS now you know the story behind it.
It represents where I came from, and how I turned something dark into something of my own.
WHAT IS TWISTED DON®?
Well Twisted Don® isn't for everyone, and that's exactly the point.
It's for the misfits - the outcasts - the oddballs - the black sheep.
The ones who never quite fitted in, the ones who embrace the unusual, and who aren't afraid to stand alone.
I don't create clothing to help you fit in.
I create clothing to help you stand out, and for the people who DARE TO BE DIFFERENT.

A brand, a community, and a way of expressing the darker side of who I am.
